Thousands of children deprived of school on the shores of Lake Albert in Djugu

Despite the return of nearly 80% of displaced persons to the Bahema Nord chiefdom, thousands of children remain without access to education due to the destruction of school infrastructure during armed violence. The few buildings still standing are in ruins and do not ensure the safety of students. Local leaders are calling for immediate reconstruction of schools and humanitarian intervention to provide temporary learning structures.
