Thousands rallied in Tel Aviv on Saturday, urging opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot to form a coalition with Arab parties to remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In Tuesday’s election, Netanyahu’s bloc won 53 seats and Eisenkot’s 48 in the 120-seat parliament, leaving neither able to govern alone. The three Arab-led parties won 19 seats, which could give a coalition with Eisenkot a 67-seat majority. Netanyahu supporters also counter-protested, opposing a government that includes Arab parties and calling them “terrorists.”
