Three South Korean officers wounded in border explosion

Three South Korean military officers were wounded in an explosion in the western sector of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating North and South Korea. Two of the officers were evacuated by helicopter, while the third was transported by land before being airlifted. Mine explosions and other blasts are recurring hazards in the DMZ, where an estimated 2 million mines are located.
