Tigray rebels urged to disarm as commander vows to fight Ethiopia’s government

Redae Halefom Woldeselassie, a senior official in Tigray’s federally backed caretaker administration, urged rebel fighters on Friday to lay down their weapons and return to civilian life. Lieutenant General Fisseha Kidanu, identified as commander of the Tigray army, urged local militias and volunteers to continue resisting. Mekelle residents reported that a drone strike on Tuesday killed four people and injured six, though the casualties could not be independently verified.
