Timber dealers lament exclusion from Tinubu’s Calabar fire relief

Timber dealers in Calabar whose shops and goods were destroyed in a fire have lamented their exclusion from the recent financial aid given to victims of a fire at Spar Shopping Mall. They appealed to President Bola Tinubu and the Cross River State Government for assistance, estimating their losses at over N650 million. A trader, Mr. Augustine Effanga, criticized authorities for not informing Mrs. Tinubu about the extent of damages in other markets, which could have led to broader support.
