Tinubu hails Nigeria’s victory over Sunrise’s $2.35bn Mambilla claim

President Bola Tinubu commended the judgment of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration tribunal in Paris, which dismissed claims by Sunrise Power and Transmission Company Ltd. The tribunal ordered Sunrise and its promoter, Mr. Leno Adesanya, to refund 75% of Nigeria's legal costs, amounting to $11.82 million. Tinubu described this decision as the 'single biggest legal hurdle' that had paralyzed the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project for over two decades.
