Tinubu Is Using APC Governors to Intimidate Opposition, Which May Fight Back, Atiku Aide Says

Demola Olarewaju, senior political assistant to African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, accused President Bola Tinubu of using APC governors to intimidate the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections. He alleged that the APC is scheming against ADC rallies in northern Nigeria and suppressing social media in some states. Olarewaju described a pattern of alleged intimidation from Edo to Kaduna, Rivers and Sokoto, warning that people may fight back. He urged Tinubu’s government to heed Governor Makinde’s warning and abandon the course before it escalates.
