Tinubu rejected in the North: Reactions after police guard his campaign billboards

Heavily armed security personnel are reportedly guarding President Bola Tinubu’s campaign posters and billboards in Kaduna State ahead of his campaign launch on Saturday. Daily Trust reported that officers were stationed at strategic locations to prevent vandalism. On X, users criticized the deployment, arguing that security forces should instead protect Nigerians from attacks by bandits and other criminals. Some said the guarded billboards reflected a rejection of Tinubu and the APC in the North and across the country.
