Tinubu Went to Mecca Only with Northern Governors While His Cabinet Is Full of Yorubas, Atiku’s Aide Says

Phrank Shaibu, special assistant for public communications to ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, accused President Bola Tinubu of hypocrisy over his Umrah trip to Mecca. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Shaibu said Tinubu travelled only with Northern governors while his cabinet was dominated by Yorubas. He alleged the president chose the governors to gain political support in the North and counter accusations that his government was being “Yorubanised.” Shaibu urged Tinubu to stop politicising religion and focus on governance that unites Nigerians.
