Tinubu writes Senate to reconstitute NHRC, nominates Eze Anaba, 14 others

President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate seeking the confirmation of fifteen nominees to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to strengthen the country's human rights protection framework. The nominations include Eze Anaba, President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, and Dr. Salamatu Hussaina Suleiman, proposed as chairman of the board. The Senate has referred the nominations to its Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters for screening within two weeks.
