Serigne Modou Mbacké, son of Serigne Sidy Abdoul Ahad Mbacké, publicly disavowed his father for inviting Sokhna Aïda Diallo to Touba. In a statement from Mecca, he expressed his sorrow and stated that the entire family shared his feelings. He also reaffirmed his family's attachment to the authority of the general caliph of the Mourides, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, while condemning the reception of Sokhna Aïda Diallo, who had been sidelined by the caliph since 2019-2020.
