Tour of Togo 2026: Belgian Heylen Wannes wins the first stage

The 31st International Cycling Tour of Togo 2026 started with the first stage between Bassar and Sokodé over 70.2 kilometers. Belgian Heylen Wannes won the race in a sprint with a time of 1h42mn 02, followed by Cameroonian Rodrigue Kuéré Nounawé and Burkinabe Rawende Moucaïla. Togolese Kako Jules was the best national rider in this stage. The competition will continue on Thursday from Atakpame to Badou over a distance of 90.4 km.
