Tragedy at a gold panning site in Andé: A landslide results in one dead and one injured

Kouamé Romaric, aged 40, died on March 10, 2026, following a landslide at an illegal gold panning site in Andé, Bongouanou department. He was with two other men when they were caught in the accident while trying to leave an artisanal mining pit. One companion was injured but managed to escape, while Kouamé did not survive the landslide.
