Tragedy at Nsam Technical High School: Mother of deceased student recounts her last moments with her son

Junior Gabriel Feudjio Kitio died in a traffic accident on October 21 near Nsam Technical High School in Yaoundé, while two other students were taken to hospital. His mother says she dropped him at a police station around 6:30 a.m. so he could take a taxi to school. After the school principal called her following her classes, gendarmes stopped her and initially told her that her son had been taken to Efoulan Hospital. She later fainted and regained consciousness at Odza Hospital; the accident had sparked tensions and vandalism at the school.
