Tragedy: Son beats 65-year-old father to death in Ondo, arrested

On June 4, 2026, Nsikak Kingsley, 38, beat his 65-year-old father Adone Peter to death during a domestic dispute in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area, Ondo State, Nigeria. Police arrested Kingsley after the victim's other son, Daniel Moses, reported the incident. Police spokesperson DSP Jimoh Abayomi confirmed the body was deposited in a mortuary for autopsy and the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
