Transfer day: What and when is the deadline for club football signings?

Football clubs in Europe's top leagues have their last chance to sign new players as the 2026 summer transfer window approaches its deadline. The English Premier League will close on September 1 at 11pm GMT, while La Liga will close at 11:59pm GMT on the same day. Clubs can still announce signings after the deadline due to a two-hour grace period if they have submitted a deal sheet prior to the closure.
