Tribalism in Nigeria driven by leadership failure - Mahdi Shehu

Public affairs analyst Mahdi Shehu called for stronger national unity in Nigeria, stating that tribalism is largely driven by leadership failures. Speaking at the Arewa Twitter Connect event in Kano, he emphasized that leaders contribute to selfish behavior among citizens by displaying greed and a lack of concern for the masses. Shehu also criticized the protection of corrupt individuals, warning that it weakens national unity.
