Troops intercept 11 suspects with IED-making materials in Abuja

Troops of the Nigerian Army intercepted 11 suspects, including 10 males and one female, transporting materials believed to be for the production of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Kuje Area Council. The suspects were arrested at 12:59 a.m. on Monday, April 27, while traveling in a vehicle along the Kuchiyako–Tipper Garage road. Explosive charges and three-and-a-half bags of unidentified mineral substances were recovered from them. The suspects are currently in military custody, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain their intent and possible links to criminal or terrorist activities.
