Troops neutralised 1,106 JAS/ISWAP terrorists in Borno — Former OPHK Commander, Abdulsalam

Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar revealed that troops neutralised over 1,106 JAS/ISWAP terrorists during his tenure in Borno State. He also stated that 969 fighters and their families surrendered, and 638 civilians were rescued. Military operations facilitated the return of more than 7,000 displaced families to their ancestral communities. Abdulsalam handed over command to his successor, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, who pledged to continue efforts to restore normalcy in the North-East.
