Troops raid kidnappers’ enclave, rescue seven in Benue

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke, in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force and local vigilantes, rescued seven kidnapped victims in Benue State. The operation, conducted on September 14, 2026, followed credible intelligence regarding the activities of kidnappers in the area. The suspects fled upon the troops' approach, abandoning their victims, who were then secured. A vehicle linked to the criminal operation was also recovered and handed over to the police.
