Troops repel Boko Haram/ISWAP attack on base in Borno community

Troops of the Nigerian Army, supported by the Air Force and the Civilian Joint Task Force, repelled a coordinated attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP in the Pulka community of Gwoza on September 7, 2026. With determined resistance and timely air support, the forces successfully held their positions and inflicted casualties on the attackers. Exploitation operations were initiated to assess damage and gather further intelligence on fleeing terrorist elements.
