Trump admin asks top US court to reverse pro-Palestinian scholar’s release

Suri, an Indian citizen, was arrested in March 2025 by ICE agents and was released in May 2025 after a judge ruled that his detention violated his constitutional rights. The Department of Justice has petitioned to determine whether federal immigration law barred the lower court's order for his release.
