The Trade Union of Nigeria (TUC) warned that the price of petrol could reach N2,000 per litre if urgent measures are not taken to mitigate the impact of rising crude prices and the depreciating naira. TUC President Festus Osifo stated that Nigerian workers are already experiencing severe hardships due to rising fuel costs. He proposed that the government allocate 60% of excess crude oil revenue to subsidize crude supplies to refineries, aiming to reduce fuel prices within two weeks.
