Turkey: a shooting in a high school injures 16 in the east of the country

A shooting occurred at a high school in Siverek, Turkey, around 9:30 AM when a former student armed with a shotgun opened fire. At least 16 people were injured, including ten students, four teachers, a cafeteria worker, and a police officer. The assailant then committed suicide as security forces surrounded the building. Emergency services evacuated the victims to local hospitals.
