Turkiye launches search for cargo ship after vessels collide off Istanbul

Turkiye's coastguard has initiated a search and rescue operation following the collision of two Turkish-flagged commercial vessels off Istanbul. The incident occurred at 3 AM in the Marmara Sea, about 32 kilometers south of Silivri. Contact was lost with the crew of the Tugberk Imamoglu, while the other vessel, Alsu, appeared undamaged. Numerous naval units and a coast guard helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
