Billy Miya, a journalist from Radio 47, claimed that the Tanzanian government is hunting him and his co-host Mbaruk Mwalimu due to their critical coverage of President Samia Suluhu Hassan's administration. He alleged that an insider at their workplace was paid Ksh150 million to disclose sensitive information to the Tanzanian government. Despite a recent shift towards a more conciliatory stance, the journalists continue to face serious threats due to their reporting.
