Two men charged under National Security Act after RAF Fairford incident

Two men have been charged with national security offences following an incident near RAF Fairford last month, the Crown Prosecution Service said. Mohmed Abdulkarim, 24, is charged with assisting a foreign intelligence service. Nouman Essghir, also 24, is charged with entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK.

Karamo Cissé Ndiaye arrested for Aminata Sy’s murder after violent dispute

Karamo Cissé Ndiaye was arrested around midnight on Tuesday in Ndiapandal Bou Ndaw, in the commune of Kaël, after police in Mbacké acted on a tip. The merchant, wanted in connection with the killing of high-school student Aminata Sy, admitted killing her and said an argument had escalated into a fatal fight. He reportedly told investigators that he had wanted to marry her after sending money to her and her mother, but that her family refused the marriage. Seventeen-year-old Aminata Sy was found dead in a rice sack in Podor, bound and having had her throat cut; the suspect is to be handed over to the gendarmerie investigating the case.
