Two pro-Gbagbo activists die in prison, party youth protest

In Ivory Coast, two activists from the African Peoples' Party-Ivory Coast, Monnet Maruis and Gnan Guelablé, died in prison after being arrested during protests against President Alassane Ouattara. The PPA-CI youth league raises suspicions of food poisoning and condemns inhumane detention conditions. They demand independent autopsies to determine the causes of death and call for respect for fundamental freedoms.
