Nigerian Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated that the security situation would improve two weeks after the upcoming general elections. Speaking at the launch of the Nigerian Revenue Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, he claimed that the current insecurity is being fueled by opponents of President Bola Tinubu who are trying to instigate violence. Akpabio also noted that the security crisis has worsened recently, with military commanders and soldiers suffering casualties.
