Changes in Wave and Orange Money Accounts: Doubling Limits from November 2

Starting November 2, 2026, the BCEAO increases the limits for Wave and Orange Money accounts in Senegal. The maximum balance will rise from 2 to 4 million FCFA, and the monthly recharge limit from 10 to 15 million FCFA. These changes aim to make accounts more usable as digital piggy banks and improve regulation of electronic money management. Requests for exceeding these limits will still be possible under BCEAO supervision.
