Uber lays off 'about 10%' of workforce worldwide

Uber will lay off about 10% of its workforce as part of significant organizational changes, CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced. The company, which has around 34,000 employees, aims to simplify its operations and reduce coordination delays. Additionally, Uber announced the shutdown of its business in Nigeria and Uganda, after leaving Tanzania earlier this year.
