UCL: Ahmet Çakar calls Osimhen’s Man of the Match award unfair

After Galatasaray beat Lille 4-2 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Victor Osimhen received the Man of the Match award after scoring his team’s fourth goal. Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar disputed the choice, saying Barış Alper Yılmaz, Batrakov and Yunus Akgün deserved the award more. Speaking on the BTV YouTube channel, he said Osimhen had not played badly but that other players had contributed more. The Nigerian forward has seven goals and three assists in eight matches across all competitions this season.
