UDA Defends CSs and PSs Accused by Gachagua of Campaigning in Ol Kalou By-Election

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has dismissed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's accusations that Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries were campaigning and bribing voters ahead of the Ol Kalou by-election. UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan called the claims baseless and urged for admissible evidence. Gachagua had named several officials, including Cabinet Secretaries Alice Wahome, William Kabogo, Davis Chirchir, and Rebecca Miano, along with Principal Secretaries, in an eight-page letter to the electoral commission. UDA also criticized Gachagua for not addressing violence linked to his own political allies, citing MP Wanjiku Muhia's indictment for inciting violence.
