UEFA, CONCACAF challenge FIFA on reserves and demand $10m payout to members

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani have called for an independent review of FIFA's financial reserves and proposed a $2.1 billion payout to its 211 member associations. This payout of $10 million per association would be in addition to funding already committed under FIFA's Forward Programme. Their analysis of FIFA's financial statements raises questions about the necessity of an abandoned transaction that aimed to sell stakes in FIFA competitions to outside investors.
