Uganda to deploy 1,200 soldiers in Gaza as Burundi seeks to join mission

Uganda is set to deploy approximately 1,200 soldiers to Gaza in October under the International Stabilisation Force (ISF), while Burundi is in talks to join the mission. The deployment is seen as critical for implementing the next phase of the Gaza plan, which has recently gained momentum after months of stalled negotiations. Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka stated that preparations for the Middle East mission are underway.
