Ugandan Woman Arrested in Lagos with 87 Cocaine Wraps Concealed on Her Body

Nigeria’s NDLEA arrested 34-year-old Ugandan Farida Nansubuga at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport on November 3 as she prepared to board a flight to Uganda. Officers found 87 cocaine wraps weighing 1.15 kilograms concealed around her pelvic region beneath two layers of underwear; she reportedly said she expected at least $1,000 to deliver the drugs. In separate airport operations, the agency seized 750,000 tapentadol tablets shipped from India and 16.15 kilograms of cannabis hidden in sofas from Houston, making several arrests.
