UK airports record mass flight cancellations after NATS technical failure

More than 1,000 flights were cancelled at airports across the UK following a technical failure at a NATS air traffic control facility. Flightradar24 reported that about 1,300 flights were cancelled on Tuesday, with a further 177 cancellations recorded on Wednesday, mainly involving London Heathrow Airport. The airlines most affected include easyJet, British Airways, and Ryanair, while individual flights were also impacted, such as British Airways flight BA169 which had to turn back.
