UK announces £100 energy payment

As part of the UK’s first Budget, the government will provide a £100 payment this winter to households in England whose homes are in council tax bands A to D. Healey said funding would be allocated to the devolved governments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland so they can provide similar support. Kemi Badenoch said the Budget was “not good enough.”
