UK Concludes Inquiry Into Death of British Citizen in Ruto Motorcade Accident

A UK coroner's investigation concluded that British national Edgar Riches, 79, died on March 13, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle in President William Ruto’s motorcade in Nairobi. The coroner stated that Riches was lawfully crossing the road when he was hit by a speeding vehicle. The driver was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and was fined Ksh100,000, avoiding a jail sentence.
