UK: Rwandan Charged in 1994 Genocide Case

Vincent Brown, a 65-year-old Rwandan residing in Islington, London, was arrested and charged on September 21, 2026, for crimes related to the 1994 genocide in Kigali. The Crown Prosecution Service has brought seven charges against him, including one for accessory to genocide. This indictment follows a lengthy investigation by the Metropolitan Police's War Crimes Team, which began in 2019 at the request of the Rwandan government. Brown is scheduled to appear before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 22.
