UK to observe Ekiti, Osun polls, APC pledges peaceful elections

The British government announced plans to deploy election observers for the upcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States, Nigeria. British High Commissioner Richard Montgomery stated these are the final off-cycle polls before the 2027 general elections. APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda pledged peaceful, issue-based elections, noting that less than 3% of over 6,000 primary participants generated petitions.
