Ukraine: a bridge in Kyiv and a nuclear research institute hit by Russian drones

Russian drones struck a major bridge in Kyiv, disrupting public transport, after hitting the support zone of the southern part of the bridge. Additionally, a nuclear research institute in Kyiv was targeted, but the deactivated Soviet-era reactor was not damaged, and no increase in radioactivity was detected. These attacks are part of a recent escalation of Russian strikes against critical civilian infrastructure in Kyiv. The last major attack on a bridge occurred in October 2022 during a previous Russian bombardment.
