Ukraine PM resigns as Zelensky orders reshuffle

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko resigned on Tuesday as part of a government reshuffle ordered by President Volodymyr Zelensky. No replacement has been named yet; Zelensky only said that Kyiv is 'changing its political strategy' amid 'new challenges and new tasks'. Ukraine's parliament approved Svyrydenko's resignation in a vote on Tuesday.

FCC warns MDAs against recruitment without approval

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has warned Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) against conducting recruitment, promotions or other personnel-related exercises without the Commission's involvement, warning violators risk sanctions. The warning was issued during an interactive meeting between the FCC Committee on Works, Transport and Aviation and the management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) in Abuja. Committee Chairman Peter Eze said the Commission was shifting from a reactive to a proactive approach in enforcing the Federal Character Principle. NRC Managing Director Kayode Opeifa described the engagement as beneficial and reaffirmed the corporation's commitment to compliance.
