Ukraine raises death toll from Russian strike in Zaporizhia to 40

Ukrainian authorities raised the death toll from Monday’s Russian strike on an aid centre in a school in Komyshuvakha, in the Zaporizhia region, to 40. Mohsen Rezaei said Donald Trump had been defeated on the warfront, in the Strait of Hormuz and in Washington, while Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei warned that refusing to face reality could bring wider consequences. Democrats won control of both the Senate and the House, driven in part by opposition to Trump’s domestic policies and the war in Iran.
