UN: Beninese Inès Hadonou-Toffoun secures seat on HRC Advisory Committee – La Nouvelle Tribune

Beninese jurist Inès Hadonou-Toffoun was elected to the UN Human Rights Council Advisory Committee during its 63rd session in Geneva on October 7, 2026. She is a researcher at the University of Parakou and works on human rights at the Benin Ministry of Justice. Her three-year term is held in an individual capacity, among six new members elected to this independent expert body. The committee provides advice and conducts studies on human rights issues without judging or sanctioning states.
