UN boosts Lebanon aid appeal as Israeli war drives humanitarian crisis

The UN has doubled its aid appeal for Lebanon to nearly $640 million, as a four-month war with Israel worsens the humanitarian crisis. Only $185 million has been received so far. The death toll from Israeli attacks has reached 3,526, with 10,733 wounded and over one million displaced since March 2. UN Humanitarian Coordinator Imran Riza called the situation alarming and worsening by the day.
