UN: Burkina Faso denounces international silence after April 25 attack in Mali

Burkina Faso's Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré criticized the international community's silence regarding the jihadist attack in Mali on April 25, carried out by JNIM and FLA, which resulted in hundreds of deaths across multiple cities including Bamako, Kati, Gao, Mopti, Sévaré, and Kidal. He condemned the disproportionate media exposure of JNIM, a group recognized as a terrorist organization, and called for greater international responsibility. During a meeting in New York with Alexandre Zouev, he expressed surprise at the lack of response and urged efforts to prevent the instrumentalization of armed groups.
