UN Mechanism orders investigations on the death of the detained Rwanda Genocide suspect, Félicien Kabuga

The United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals has launched investigations into the sudden death of Rwandan detainee Félicien Kabuga. The President of the Mechanism, Judge Graciela Gatti Santana, ordered inquiries into the circumstances of his death while he was held at the UN Detention Unit in The Hague. Kabuga was facing charges of genocide and other crimes against humanity.
