UN raises ‘ethnic cleansing’ concerns over Israeli West Bank operation

A UN human rights report indicates that Israeli military actions have resulted in the displacement of Palestinian populations in three refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, potentially amounting to collective punishment and raising concerns of ethnic cleansing. Operation Iron Wall killed 102 Palestinians and displaced over 33,000 residents from the Jenin, Nur Shams, and Tulkarem refugee camps. The report emphasizes that the use of air strikes and bulldozers to render areas uninhabitable is not permissible under international law.
