Uncertainty over planned defection of Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed did not defect from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Party (ADC) or the All Progressives Congress (APC) as planned. Although he will be ending his two terms next year, he is being courted by both parties. Speculations arise that his decision to call off the defection may be linked to the recent Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decision to withdraw recognition from the ADC.
